Our Work

 Mission Statement:

Paving The Way's mission is to provide and equip young girls with the education they need. By sponsoring a young girl's educational journey, we are providing them with the greatest tool of all which is "Education." With their education, these girls can access numerous opportunities, become self-dependent, and break the ongoing cycle of illiteracy and poverty that has plagued many families in impoverished areas.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, we have been actively leading relief efforts to support communities in Jamaica. Together, we have organized and shipped multiple barrels filled with essential items, including clothing, shoes, and necessities, to families most affected by the devastation. Recognizing the urgent financial needs on the ground, I partnered with a public charter school in St. Albans to coordinate a "dress-down day," successfully raising funds to assist those suffering significant losses.

Recognizing the shortage of menstrual products after Hurricane Melissa, the CEO and Founder of Paving the Way (Danielle Parchment) gave a presentation at her school to raise awareness of the hurricane's aftermath and packed period kits to ensure women and girls had access to essential hygiene supplies during this difficult time. In addition, she has helped organize fundraising initiatives, including bake sales, to generate further support for families in need. Through these collective efforts, our goal has been to provide meaningful assistance while mobilizing community support for long-term recovery.

Kamoya Monteith

Kamoya Monteith was born and raised in Kilmarnock, Jamaica. As an 8th-grade student at St. Elizabeth Technical High School in Santa Cruz, Jamaica, she tragically lost her mother, placing her education at risk.

With her father struggling to cover tuition and related costs, Kamoya faced the possibility of dropping out. That’s where Paving the Way stepped in. Through our scholarship support, Kamoya was able to continue her studies and stay on track toward a brighter future. At Paving the Way, we believe no child’s education should be derailed by financial hardship, and Kamoya’s story is just one example of how we’re making a lasting impact, one student at a time.
